CEO of Everfuel
Jacob Krogsgaard serves as CEO of Everfuel and has previously worked more than four years as Senior Vice President of Nel Hydrogen Solutions. Before this, Jacob worked as CEO and co-founder of H2 Logic from 2003 until the company was acquired by NEL ASA in 2015. Additionally, Jacob has served in several board positions and holds a B.Sc. in Business Development from Aarhus University.
Dr Uffe Borup serves as CTO of Everfuel and has previously worked more than three years as Vice President of Technology at Nel Hydrogen Solution. Before this, Uffe worked as Director of Business Development at Danfoss Drives, R&D director at Danfoss Solar Inverters and co-founder (CTO) at Powerlynx. Uffe holds an Industrial PhD from Aalborg University and a MSc Eng. in Power Electronics from Aalborg University.
Jakob Larsen serves as Chief Financial Officer. He previously held senior leadership roles at Everfuel, including Strategy & Investment Director and Head of M&A and Treasury, following earlier experience at Nordea Markets.
Jakob has led capital markets and strategic transaction activities, including the EUR 200m joint venture creation with Hy24, an accelerated bookbuild with Hy24 as cornerstone investor, strategic investments from Itochu and Osaka Gas, and most recently the public-to-private transaction of Everfuel together with existing major shareholders and new investor Swiss Life Asset Management.
Jakob holds a MSc in Finance and Strategic Management from Copenhagen Business School.
Hans-Åge Nielsen is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Everfuel and has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. Hans-Åge previously held a position as CCO at Corre Energy and before that, 20 years in operational and commercial functions at Energinet and Gas Storage Denmark. He has a deep knowledge of the European wholesale energy and infrastructure markets. Hans-Åge has led several innovation projects around hydrogen, including the conversion of natural gas storage to hydrogen, on industrial and commercially viable scale. Hans-Åge holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering and a Diploma in business administration.
Niels Ammundsen is an experienced executive whose career has been focused on leading engineering, design and execution of complex process‑ and energy‑technology solutions, including larger EPC deliveries. He previously served as COO at Union Engineering, contributing to international growth in advanced CO₂ process technologies. His experience spans industrial gas systems and major renewable‑energy projects, including work related to biogas infrastructure such as the Tønder Biogas facility—one of Europe’s largest plants powering the green transition. Niels holds a MSc. in Mechanical Engineering from DTU and an MBA from Henley Business School.
Gitte Graugaard serves as Chief People & Culture Officer in Everfuel. She has extensive senior‑level experience, and a proven track record of delivering results, within Leadership, Strategy, People & Culture, Organisational development, Executive advisory and Business transformation in large organisations in industries such as energy, banking, and pharma.
Prior to joining Everfuel, Gitte worked seven years in the Energy Sector. First as Chief HR Business Partner for Energinet Electricity Transmission and Gas Storage Denmark. Subsequently, as Head of Management Support in Energinet Electricity Transmission with responsibility for Strategy, Asset Management, Change Management and internal communications.
Gitte holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Psychology, which she has supplemented with relevant education, including “Leading Strategic Change” at INSEAD.
Meet our board members
Søren Eriksen is CEO and managing partner at Viegand Maagøe A/S, with previous experience as CEO at Danish Rail and CFO at TDC. Prior to that he has been Head of Finance and Financial Analyst at Tele Danmark A/S. He holds a number of board positions, primarily within the renewable and energy sector. Søren holds a MSc in economics from University of Southern Denmark.
Michio Tanaka established the Solar Business Unit at ITOCHU in the early 2000s and led its operations in both Tokyo and the UK for over a decade. Through this experience, he has built a global network and gained access to key players in the renewable energy sector, complementing his expertise in industries such as aluminum, steel, gas, power, and cement. He holds a bachelor's degree in international law.
Pierre-Etienne Franc served as Chair of Hydrogen Europe (2011- 2016) and then co-founded and coordinated the World Hydrogen Council as Secretary (2017-2020). Within Air Liquide - where he spent over 25 years of his career – PierreEtienne occupied several global business, strategy, and operational management positions. In 2021, he co-founded FiveT Hydrogen, a hydrogen investment pureplay, and then co-founded Hy24, a 50/50 regulated asset manager (a joint venture between Ardian and FiveT Hydrogen). Hy24 currently manages a hydrogen infrastructure fund, which is today up and running with EUR 2 billion of allocations and has made eight investments. Hy24 has recently launched a second initiative focused on hydrogen equipment and technologies. Hy24 aims to scale up the whole low-carbon hydrogen value chain, deploying large scale projects in the most dynamic geographies in Europe, Asia, and America. Pierre Etienne is the CEO of Hy24. Franc graduated in 1993 from France’s HEC business school, where he was awarded the HEC Foundation Prize and the second prize of the Ernst & Young Foundation for his final thesis on industrial joint ventures.
Dr. Marc Schürch has more than 15 years of experience in M&A, investment management and advising energy companies. He is responsible for the international renewables strategy at Swiss Life Asset Managers and, most importantly, the two international renewables funds. In his current role, he is also a board member for various portfolio companies with activities in renewable fuels, hydropower, onshore and offshore wind, solar power and biomass. Marc was a member of the founding team of Energy Infrastructure Partners AG (Credit Suisse), where he headed the
transaction team. Previously, he was an Associate Partner at The Advisory House AG, a consulting company specializing in the energy industry. His clients included Swiss and international energy utilities, as well as the public sector, which he advised on strategy, finance and organisational issues. After research stays at Duke University in the USA and the Universiteit van Amsterdam, Marc obtained a Dr. oec. HSG in St. Gallen, and before that, a lic. rer. pol. at the University of Basel.
